Backend-for-Frontend Layer
One typed call per screen, instead of a client stitching microservices together.
Backend-for-Frontend layers, gRPC and REST microservices, API contracts written before the code, and the release work that keeps all of it boring.
Own the Backend-for-Frontend layer and lead delivery on a consumer lending product.
Most of my work sits between a product surface and the services behind it. I designed the BFF layer at SwiffyLabs as an intern prototype and now own it end to end — gRPC where it earns its keep, HTTP where it does not, and payloads shaped for the screen that asked for them.
Alongside that I lead delivery on a consumer lending product and run the parts nobody volunteers for: multi-tenant onboardings, release pipelines, and production migrations that finish with nothing going down.
More about meSystems I designed, shipped and then had to live with. Numbers are the ones I could measure.
One typed call per screen, instead of a client stitching microservices together.
A lending product, led end to end — from API contract to release.
New tenants onboarded and schema migrations run without taking anything down.
Occasional write-ups on the systems I work on.
I have worked closely with Chandan for almost two years at Workoi, where he joined as a second-year engineering intern and grew into a reliable full-stack developer. A standout contribution was his ownership of our website development — end-to-end implementation from backend APIs to frontend components, ensuring timely releases without compromising quality. Over time he transitioned from needing guidance to independently owning key modules and delivering scalable, production-ready solutions.
It has been an absolute pleasure having Chandan as part of our team since the early days. As a full-stack developer with a strong focus on UI/UX, he brings both technical skill and user empathy to every project. His enthusiasm, curiosity and commitment stand out — always eager to learn, contribute meaningfully, and take ownership where needed. He consistently delivers thoughtful, well-crafted solutions.
Backend and full-stack roles where the API boundary matters — BFF layers, microservices, fintech platforms. I am most useful where a product surface meets a lot of services.
